O'Leno 2005 Trip Reports

17 July 2005 -

Location: Sweetwater Pond, O'Leno State Park

Divers:                 Michael Poucher
Profile:                10 minutes at a depth of 34 feet
Conditions:          80 degrees F
Description:         Jumped in to check vis. A tree is over the ledge, tied off and dropped onto the line by chance. Followed it down to 50' in 6 inches of vis. Warm water. Walked around in park and collected GPS points. Report submitted to the park.

May 2005 -

Location: O'Leno State Park Swimming Area

Divers:                 Michael Poucher, Sandra Poucher
Profile:                28 minutes to a depth of 15 feet
Conditions:          68 degrees, visibility was approximately 3 feet
Description:         Wetsuits and sidemounts checking for debris in swimming area. Found branches, bottles, watches, and old ring, and earring. Mike checked under the suspension bridge and found a hammer and a butter knife. Photographed finds and two boys who were fascinated. Left the bottles for Park Manager Dale Kendrick.

Location: O'Leno State Park Swimming Area

Divers:                 John Jones, Jerry Murphy, Michael Poucher, Sandra Poucher
Profile:                20 minutes to a depth of 25 feet
Conditions:          56 degrees, visibility was approximately 3 feet
Description:         Mike supervised from the surface. Clean up of swimming area just upstream of the suspension bridge at O'Leno State Park. Park Manager Dale Kendrick said there was a tree in the swimming area and yes there was. Removed the tree, branches, glass, fishing line.
